Target Group
CLEAR PATHS™ is designed for adolescents and adults (16+) with intellectual, developmental, or learning disabilities whose socio-sexual behaviour has resulted in concern, boundary violations, or system involvement, including:
Socially inappropriate or misunderstood sexual behaviour
Repeated supervision concerns or safeguarding alerts
School, residential, community, or service-based incidents
Police contact or early justice-system involvement where behaviour is better understood as vulnerability-, skill-, or developmentally driven
The program is appropriate where behaviour reflects gaps in knowledge, consent understanding, impulse regulation, or social boundaries, rather than entrenched offending patterns.
Program Format
4–6 structured sessions
60–90 minutes per session
Delivered 1:1 virtual or in-person can be arranged, based on learning and support needs
Visual, concrete, and low-literacy accessible
Adapted to cognitive level, communication style, and cultural context
May involve caregivers or staff with informed consent to support generalization of skills

Clear, practical strategies to reduce recurrence
Strengthened alignment between the individual, caregivers, and service providers
Follow Up : The individual will have a follow up an congratulatory meeting for their hard work and completion. Meetings with staff, family and caregivers may be arranged and consented information provided. Staff training is available to help support the individual appropriately with their individual and community safety plan.
