Alternative Intervention Pathways

INSIGHT provides assessment-informed behavioural consultation and structured skill-building supports for individuals whose behaviour has raised safety, consent, or risk concerns. Services are designed to reduce escalation, clarify contributing factors, and support informed decision-making across community, educational, and justice-adjacent contexts.

Our work is grounded in evidence-based principles, including Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR), with an emphasis on matching supports to actual risk, addressing skill gaps and unmet needs, and delivering interventions in ways individuals can understand and engage with.

Decision-Making & Accountability for Safer Choices

CLEAR PATHS™ is an assessment-informed, structured skill-building pathway designed to support individuals whose socio-sexual behaviour has resulted in concern, system involvement, or repeated escalation. The program focuses on improving decision-making, strengthening accountability, and reducing the likelihood of recurrence through practical, concrete learning.

Conversations about socio-sexual behaviour are often uncomfortable, emotionally charged, and confusing—especially when families or staff lack specialized training.

Many caregivers and frontline workers report uncertainty about:

  • What is developmentally expected vs. concerning

  • How to respond without escalating shame, fear, or risk

  • How to balance safety, dignity, and autonomy

CLEAR PATHS™ is designed to support everyone involved, not to assign blame. The program provides a shared framework, clear language, and practical tools so families and staff can respond consistently, calmly, and safely, even in complex situations.

CALM & CONTROL™

Emotional Regulation & Behaviour Stabilization Support

CALM & CONTROL™ is a structured, trauma-informed support program focused on emotional regulation, impulse control, and behavioural stabilization for individuals whose behaviour escalates in response to stress, overwhelm, sensory load, or trauma history.

The program is designed for situations where emotional dysregulation—rather than intent—drives risk, disruption, or repeated system involvement. It supports individuals who struggle to pause, process, and respond safely when demands exceed their coping capacity.

Many families, caregivers, and frontline staff report uncertainty about:

  • How to respond when behaviour escalates rapidly

  • How to reduce risk without increasing restriction or conflict

  • How to support regulation when traditional strategies are ineffective

CALM & CONTROL™ The program provides shared language, practical tools, and predictable strategies so individuals, families, and support teams can respond calmly, consistently, and safely—creating the stability needed for participation, learning, and longer-term progress.
